Understanding the BCP Motor
In a sealless BCP, the pump and motor share one shaft inside a single pressure boundary. That removes the shaft seal and its leak path. The motor is a water-filled induction motor: a thin stator can protects the windings, a rotor can protects the rotor, and circulating water lubricates the internal bearings. A cooling circuit keeps the motor cavity at a safe temperature. Winding insulation, can integrity, bearings and cooling-water quality all affect motor life.
